A cat stretched around my hip
Paws, reaching toward the moon of my breasts
Scratching hoed rows, red clay furrows piled on my skin
But sunken in, his fur like striated elephant clouds
lumpy fellows that joined the circus, spur of the moment
his facial fishing lines tickle my ribs and his eyes are
Green as greed and wilted lettuce
